- Suspects deleted phone data before and after the crime.

Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, both aged 20 and 22 respectively, are accused of murdering 25-year-old Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal by pushing him off Lohagad Fort on June 18. Investigators have established a link between the accused, who were observed together watching a Market Yard Friends Cricket League match prior to the murder. This league is a community cricket tournament held in Pune.
Earlier, police found that Goyal and Chaudhary initially connected through Goyal's elder brother, Sahil, who played cricket with Chaudhary. Goyal often accompanied her brother to these games, facilitating her acquaintance with Chaudhary. Police are exploring this connection as a key aspect of their ongoing investigation.
Goyal's parents, Pravin and Puja Goyal, and her brother Sahil were questioned by Lonavala Rural Police on Saturday. Sahil had previously been questioned for over 10 hours. Goyal's father had been briefly hospitalized following her arrest earlier this week.
According to police, Goyal and Agarwal were set to marry in November, but Goyal allegedly wished to cancel the wedding, leading to the conspiracy. The accused reportedly met at a cafe on the day of the murder to finalize the plot and scout the location at Lohagad Fort.
Further investigation revealed that both Goyal and Chaudhary systematically deleted their phone chat history and emptied their recycle bins before and after the crime. Their mobile devices have been sent to a forensic laboratory for data recovery. A candlelight vigil was organized by residents in Gahunje, where the deceased resided.
