In a significant operation conducted on Thursday night, Pune city police successfully rescued four women from Bangladesh. These women were found in a brothel located in the Budhwar Peth area, victims of a deceitful human trafficking scheme.
Authorities reported that the women were initially enticed to travel to Pune with promises of legitimate employment. However, upon arrival, they were coerced into sex work, highlighting a disturbing pattern of exploitation.
The raid, executed by a team from the Faraskhana police station following a tip-off, led to the arrest of one person. Investigations revealed that a Bangladeshi agent was responsible for selling these women to the brothel operators.
