A tragic incident unfolded late on Sunday night in Pune's Pashan area, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old man. Sahadev Ramprakash Sharma, a resident of Sus, was mediating a financial dispute between two friends when he was allegedly attacked with a billhook. Sharma succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning while undergoing treatment.
The dispute reportedly involved a sum of Rs 3 lakh, with one friend having borrowed the money from another individual who works as a private vehicle driver. Sharma, involved in share trading, stepped in to resolve the disagreement. However, an argument during the mediation allegedly escalated when Sharma used abusive language towards the driver.
Enraged by the insult, the driver, along with two accomplices, reportedly met Sharma near the ITI ground armed with a billhook. They are accused of assaulting Sharma and leaving him on the footpath before fleeing the scene. Passers-by alerted the authorities, and Sharma was transported to a private hospital where he passed away. Police have registered a murder case and are actively searching for the three accused, treating the attack as pre-planned.
