Pune Gangster Flees to London, Police Investigate Passport Fraud

According to the Pune City police, notorious gangster Nilesh alias Nilya Ghaywal has fled to London using a passport issued from the Ahilyanagar district. On September 27, 2025, the police issued a lookout circular against Ghaywal in connection with two attempted murder cases registered with the Kothrud police station.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Sambhaji Kadam stated that Ghaywal has a long criminal record. After issuing the lookout circular, the authorities discovered that Ghaywal had traveled to London. The police have initiated an inquiry to determine how Ghaywal managed to obtain the passport from his Ahilyanagar residence, where the local police had previously conducted his verification.
As part of the investigation, the police have seized three motorcycles and an SUV belonging to Ghaywal. They are also searching for two more suspected members of Ghaywal's gang in the Kothrud and adjoining areas. The authorities are determined to track down the elusive gangster and bring him back to face justice.
