A tragic incident at Lohagad Fort, initially reported as an accidental fall, has been reclassified by authorities as a murder. Ketan Vishal Agarwal, a 26-year-old man from Pune, died after falling approximately 400 feet into a gorge on June 18.
Ketan had visited the historic fort with his fiancee and two friends to celebrate her birthday. While taking photographs near a cliff, he allegedly lost his footing due to strong winds and fell. Rescue teams later recovered his body.
Further investigation by Pune Rural Police led to the arrest of Ketan's fiancee and one of her male friends. Investigators suspect they pushed Ketan into the gorge and attempted to stage the scene as an accident. The police have not yet disclosed the specific evidence supporting their conclusion.
