26 Sep, 2025
Summary
- Howie Rubin, 70, arrested on sex trafficking charges
- Allegedly abused and assaulted women in luxury hotels and rented 'sex dungeon'
- Rubin's personal assistant Jennifer Powers also arrested and charged

In a shocking development, prominent money manager Howie Rubin was arrested on Friday, September 24th, 2025 on charges of sex trafficking and transporting women across state lines for commercial sex acts over the course of a decade. The 70-year-old Rubin is accused of participating in non-consensual sex acts with multiple women in luxury hotels and a rented penthouse apartment in Manhattan that was converted into a so-called "sex dungeon".
Rubin's personal assistant, Jennifer Powers, was also arrested and charged in the case. The two are scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in Brooklyn, New York later today. According to the indictment, Rubin "engaged in conduct beyond the scope of the women's consent" during many of these encounters.
This is not the first time Rubin has faced legal troubles related to his treatment of women. In 2017, he was sued by two self-identified Playboy models and another model from Florida, who claimed they were beaten, sexually abused and raped by Rubin in multiple incidents in New York City in 2016. The latest charges paint an even more disturbing pattern of abuse and exploitation by the wealthy financier over an extended period.
