Package Toss Foiled: Four Arrested at Prison

On the evening of November 26, 2025, prison staff at Fountain Correctional Facility observed an individual throwing a package over the facility's fence. The suspect fled the scene in a gray car, but law enforcement was alerted and provided with the vehicle's license plate number.
Baldwin County deputies quickly located and stopped the vehicle traveling southbound on I-65. A search of the car revealed a total of seven cell phones and approximately 221 grams of marijuana. This discovery led to the arrest of four individuals.
The arrested suspects, identified as Sylvia Turner, Shelby Turner, Jacory Mitchell, and Jayden Armstrong, have been charged with various offenses. These include distribution and possession of marijuana, prohibited activity, and promoting prison contraband. Officials have indicated that further charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
