A tragic discovery was made in Houston's Chimney Rock Park when Ashanti Allen, 23, was found deceased. Allen, who was eight months pregnant with her son, Jaxon, was considered high-risk. Her boyfriend, Kevin Faux, 24, has been identified as the suspect and charged with capital murder for both Allen's and their unborn child's deaths.
Allen was last seen at her Houston home on April 8. Her family reported her missing on April 10 after she failed to return home. Her mother received a cryptic message stating Allen was leaving and not returning, which she found uncharacteristic. Upon checking her daughter's apartment, the family discovered Allen's packed hospital bag still by the door, indicating an unexpected departure.
Authorities located Allen's body approximately six miles from her home on April 16. Faux, who has a history of assault including a previous incident involving Allen in September 2025, is currently at large. The family has expressed their grief and is seeking justice for Ashanti and Jaxon, establishing a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs.
