A prolific offender, wanted for 26 crimes such as burglaries and vehicle thefts, has been returned to prison following a dramatic arrest aided by a police dog. Officers initially went to the man's home, but he attempted to escape through a bedroom window and across rooftops.
The pursuit continued through residential gardens, culminating in a chase through a shallow river where the police dog, PD Bowser, was deployed. The canine successfully apprehended the fleeing suspect by gripping his trousers, causing the man to collapse and yelp in pain.
Bodycam footage of the incident, which has garnered over 100,000 views online, shows the offender being placed in handcuffs with his trousers pulled down. CCTV footage also revealed the man previously dumping his bicycle and engaging in theft from a van and a car. The Met Police commended PD Bowser and his handler for their role in taking another offender off the streets.
