The incident occurred when the woman, Radha, went to her husband Chandan Kumar's house following a marital dispute. She alleged that a Dial-112 police team intervened when she was protesting outside the house.
Instead of addressing her grievance, the officer allegedly assaulted Radha, pulled her by the hair, and dragged her. The entire event was captured on video, which subsequently went viral on social media. This led Muzaffarpur SSP Kantesh Kumar Mishra to order an immediate inquiry.
SDPO (West) Suchitra Kumari confirmed the video's existence and stated that strict departmental action would be taken against any officer found guilty. Radha's personal history, including a previous marriage and a subsequent marriage to Chandan, is part of the ongoing investigation.
