Summary
- Pet sitter and partner convicted for abusing dogs in owners' home.
- Shocking videos showed dogs being dragged, kicked, and screamed at.
- Couple banned from keeping animals for seven years.

Pregnant pet sitter Paige Williams, 26, and her partner Bradley Archer, 27, have been sentenced for abusing two dogs, Ayrton and Frieda, while paid to care for them. The abuse, which included dragging, kicking, hitting, and screaming at the animals, was captured on kitchen and garden cameras at the owners' home in Balsall Common. The owners discovered the horrifying footage upon returning from their holiday in July/August 2024.
Williams, operating as Fur & Filly PetCare Services, charged the family £1,400. Archer stayed at the property throughout the four weeks of abuse. When presented with 51 videos of evidence, the couple appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court. Williams pleaded guilty to failing to meet the needs of two dogs, while Archer changed his plea to guilty on the day of his trial.
Both received 12-month community orders with unpaid work: Williams 140 hours, and Archer 40 hours. They were also ordered to pay costs and surcharges. Critically, both were banned from keeping all animals for seven years. RSPCA Inspector Ben Jones highlighted the betrayal of trust and the perpetrators' awareness of the cameras, noting the dogs showed signs of anxiety and stress.
