The alleged altercation occurred in a dorm room at Boston College, Hutchins' alma mater. According to a police report, witnesses stated Hutchins grabbed the alleged victim by the neck. One witness also reported hearing an argument and observing Hutchins push the individual. Police noted evidence at the scene, including a detached ceiling tile and Hutchins' clothing on the floor.
The alleged victim initially stated she was unharmed and did not wish to have her neck photographed or pursue a restraining order. The dispute reportedly began in the hallway, with Hutchins accusing the victim of infidelity. The situation escalated to the dorm room, where the victim allegedly began discarding Hutchins' belongings.
This arrest follows closely on the heels of former Patriots player Stefon Diggs being acquitted of assault and strangulation charges on May 5. Diggs had been accused by his former personal chef of a physical altercation involving choking.
