In Patna, a brutal act of violence has shattered a family. A 19-year-old woman, Priti Kumari, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Vijendra Kumar, on Tuesday night in the Shastri Nagar police station area.
The tragic event reportedly unfolded after an argument over Priti's participation in a local 'shobha yatra' procession. Vijendra Kumar is accused of using a grinding stone to bludgeon his wife to death after a dispute.
Family members also allege that Vijendra harassed Priti for dowry. Following the murder, he allegedly stole her jewelry and other belongings before fleeing the scene.
Priti was taken to the IGIMS hospital by neighbors but tragically passed away due to her injuries. The police have recovered the murder weapon and are actively searching for the absconding accused.
