In Patna, seven students from Patna University's C B Raman Hostel have been apprehended by Sultanganj police. They were found in possession of materials commonly used for constructing country-made bombs, often referred to as sutli bombs. The arrests occurred on Wednesday, following a significant clash between students from C B Raman Hostel and Jackson Hostel.
This dispute, which allegedly involved the use of firearms and the hurling of sutli bombs, originated from an eve-teasing incident at Krishna Ghat late Tuesday night. A student from C B Raman Hostel was reportedly confronted by a student from Jackson Hostel over comments made to his female companion.
Authorities conducted a search of local hostels, leading to the recovery of the bomb-making supplies from Hathua Hostel. The detained students, aged 19-20, confessed during interrogation that they had collected the materials to demonstrate their influence on campus. Cases have been registered against multiple named individuals at both Pirbahore and Sultanganj police stations.
