Following Kumar's arrest and subsequent information provided by him, the police also detained a goldsmith from Danapur. This individual is accused of melting down the stolen jewelry, aiding the gang in disposing of their illicit gains. Investigations have so far linked the gang to over 25 chain-snatching incidents reported across several police station areas.
The police operation resulted in the recovery of valuable items, including gold jewelry estimated to be worth Rs 6 lakh, Rs 10,000 in cash, motorcycles, and cellphones. The gang employed methods such as frequently changing motorcycle number plates and bank accounts to evade law enforcement.
