In Patna, a 26-year-old man, Nivesh Kumar, tragically died on Monday after sustaining a severe head injury in his rented room. The incident occurred in Vigrahpur, within the Jakkanpur police station area.
Kumar, who lived alone and worked for a travel agency, was married and had a young daughter. Police believe he attempted to hang himself using a towel, but the knot reportedly loosened or broke, causing him to fall. His head struck a wall, resulting in a fatal injury.
His family alerted authorities after he stopped responding to phone calls. The room was locked from the inside, requiring police to break down the door. A noose was found hanging from the fan, with Kumar discovered on the floor. An FSL examination was conducted, and while preliminary findings suggest death from the fall, the final cause remains subject to the postmortem report. No suicide note was found.
