A practicing lawyer at the Patna High Court, Indra Lakshmi, aged 65, was found dead on Wednesday morning at her two-storey residence in Patna. Her partially charred body was discovered in the verandah by her caretaker.

Lakshmi lived alone on the ground floor, while tenants occupied the first floor. Her husband resides in Ranchi, and her daughter lives in Delhi.
