Chief Justice of India Surya Kant recently inaugurated seven new infrastructure projects at the Patna High Court, underscoring the critical role of judicial capacity building. These developments are essential to address the growing demands of an increasing population, a rise in litigation, and the complexity of modern disputes.
The newly initiated projects include an administrative block, an IT building, a hospital, and an ADR building, all designed to create a more efficient and user-centric judicial system. CJI Kant highlighted that modern infrastructure functions as the 'nervous system' of the court, enabling effective exercise of judicial authority.
Furthermore, the Chief Justice launched e-ACR Nyaya, an innovative application facilitating the online submission and processing of annual confidential reports. This initiative signifies a move towards a digitally enabled and paper-light judicial environment, reinforcing Bihar's rich civilisational legacy in the pursuit of justice.
