11 Aug
Summary
- Three children aged 11, 13, and 15 found alone in squalid conditions.
- Parents, Bradley and Kimberly Lord, face child abandonment charges.
- Houston SPCA investigating animal cruelty with multiple dogs still present.

Three children, aged 11, 13, and 15, were found abandoned in a west Harris County home under horrifying conditions on Saturday. A neighbor's call prompted deputies to investigate a strong odor and piled trash bags outside the residence. Inside, they discovered animal feces, moldy food, and insects. The parents, Bradley and Kimberly Lord, returned about 40 minutes after deputies arrived, with Bradley Lord reportedly becoming belligerent.
Child Protective Services was notified, and the Lords were charged with abandoning their children with the intent to return. The Houston SPCA has since initiated an investigation into animal cruelty, as multiple dogs were still in the home as of Monday evening. Bradley Lord stated that the situation has not affected their custody of the children. Information regarding any prior investigations at the home is not publicly available.
