Chaos erupted at Panjab University on Tuesday evening when armed individuals targeted student leader Jashandeep Singh Jawanda, firing two shots that he narrowly evaded. The assailants then fled the campus, engaging in a dramatic sequence of events.
Their escape route led them to a temple, where they reportedly threatened a priest before proceeding to Sector 25. There, they accosted a couple and snatched a Bullet motorcycle at gunpoint, alerting police to the ongoing crime spree.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage showing four suspects fleeing the scene. The scooter abandoned near the temple was found to have fake number plates, suggesting it was stolen.
