Panchkula Police Intensify Patrols, Deploy Special Teams to Tackle Campus Harassment

In response to recent reports of harassment near the NIFT campus in Panchkula, the local police have taken swift action to address the issue and ensure the safety of female students. On October 24th, 2025, Police Commissioner Sibash Kabiraj ordered immediate and strict action against any offenders.
Since then, the police have implemented several measures to bolster security in the area. DCP Srishti Gupta stated that police patrols have been significantly increased, and a special team of bike riders has been deployed to monitor the campus and surrounding areas. Additionally, the Durga Shakti Rapid Force, consisting of four members including two women officers, is conducting daily patrols to specifically focus on women's safety.
