Kristiansen's defense that they were "just being nice" was rejected by the jury.
During sentencing, the judge emphasized the "very important and far-reaching" effects of the abuse on the victim. Kristiansen, who denied the charges, will also be placed on the sex offender register for the remainder of his life.
