Murder Arrest After Body Discovered in Oxfordshire Home

A fatal incident in Harwell, Oxfordshire, has led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man. Thames Valley Police responded to a call at a property in The Park on Tuesday evening at approximately 21:37 GMT. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased 64-year-old woman.
Despite the immediate life-saving efforts by attending officers, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, who is known to the victim, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. The victim has not yet been formally identified, but her next of kin have been informed.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Alice Broad stated that while the investigation is in its early stages, they do not believe there is any threat to the wider public. Police presence will be increased in the area as officers pursue multiple lines of inquiry to determine the full circumstances surrounding the death.
