Last month, a night of music and nostalgia at Enrique Iglesias' live concert in Mumbai turned sour for several fans as more than 80 mobile phones worth nearly Rs 24 lakh were stolen amid the packed crowd at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
While the 25,000 attendees, including several Bollywood celebrities, were lost in the rhythm, thieves apparently took advantage of the dense crowd and dim lights to target concertgoers. As the concert ended, many attendees realized their phones were missing.
Following the incident, the Mumbai Police registered multiple cases of theft at the BKC police station and launched an investigation. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and coordinating with telecom service providers to trace the stolen devices and identify the culprits.

The concert marked global music sensation and Grammy Award winner Enrique Iglesias' debut live performance in Mumbai. The 50-year-old singer enthralled the audience with his signature romantic hits and electric stage presence during the 90-minute set.
