Trap rapper OJ da Juiceman was arrested on March 15 by the Georgia State Patrol. He faces ten charges, including a felony count of aggravated assault on a public safety officer.
The incident reportedly occurred in late January when a trooper claimed OJ Da Juiceman tailgated and honked at him on I-20 East in Atlanta. The trooper alleges OJ then passed him, pointed a black handgun, and drove away recklessly, repeating the alleged action later.
Authorities identified OJ and his Nissan Altima, leading to an arrest warrant last month. Among the charges are felony possession of a firearm during a felony and misdemeanor traffic offenses.
OJ's legal team is seeking his release on bond, asserting he is a well-known Atlanta musician and recording artist unlikely to flee. Furthermore, a woman provided a sworn affidavit stating OJ had rented the car for her, and she permitted another man to use it, asserting OJ was not driving at the time.
