An Ohio man has pleaded guilty to serious charges stemming from an incident last October. Patrick Dowling admitted to grand theft of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence.
Dowling was at the UH Chardon Health Center on October 14, 2025. According to reports, he exited the facility, entered an ambulance, and drove away. No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the theft.
Deputies from the Geauga County Sheriff's Office located the stolen ambulance several miles away in Newbury Township. Dowling was taken into custody without any issues. His sentencing date has been set for March 19.
