Cop Stalked Ex With Flock Camera

An extensive surveillance campaign involving Flock automatic license plate readers has come to light, revealing alleged misuse by a former Alpharetta, Georgia, police officer, Dustin Bozzo. Documents indicate Bozzo used Flock's system 56 times between March and May to monitor the license plate of a former romantic partner, who was also a member of the Alpharetta Police Department. Their relationship reportedly violated the city's ban on workplace dating.

Bozzo later expanded his surveillance, searching for another officer's vehicle 29 times between March and May, after noticing it near his ex-partner's car. Following an internal investigation, Bozzo was placed on paid leave on July 20 and resigned on August 5. Lieutenant Jason Hiott confirmed that an ongoing criminal investigation is being conducted by the department's Criminal Investigations Division. Chief Trent Lindgren stated the investigation is nearing completion and that the department is committed to high standards.

Bozzo admitted to the affair, which began in late 2025, with a civilian employee of the department. While both parties claimed the relationship ended amicably and never occurred during work hours, internal reports noted they were frequently seen together on duty and not engaged in their responsibilities. Despite a written directive regarding workplace interactions, their relationship continued, with one sergeant reporting seeing them in a secluded park at 2:30 am while Bozzo was on duty. Bozzo's Flock searches for his ex-partner's vehicle, and later her uncle's, used reasons like "Wanted Person" or "Traffic Infraction," which he described as a "quick keystroke."
