In the early morning hours of April 6, 2026, a daring heist attempt in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, ended in a chaotic scene with several luxury vehicles totaling around $524,000 left smashed on the streets. The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. near a parking garage on West 43rd Street.
Video footage captured a white 2025 Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE P400, valued at approximately $95,000, pinned beneath the parking garage's lowered metal gate. Another high-value car, a blue 2023 McLaren Artura costing between $160,000 and $229,000, was found severely damaged and mounted on a sidewalk outside a FedEx building.
A black Mercedes G-class AMG G 63 SUV, with a pre-owned value around $180,000, was also involved but appeared undamaged, abandoned in the road. A white 2018 Volvo XC60, worth about $20,000, sustained damage to its driver's side door and windshield.
Authorities reported that the suspects fled the scene in a gray BMW, which had not been stolen from the garage. Forensic teams were present at the scene on the morning of April 6, 2026. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests had been announced, and the suspects' whereabouts remained unknown. The investigation into the failed grand larceny auto operation is ongoing.
