Broadmoor Nurse Struck Off for Falsified Checks
2 Feb
Summary
- Nurse Anil Parrymore falsified patient observation records.
- Patient death revealed the falsified records.
- Parrymore has been struck off by the NMC.

Anil Parrymore, a former mental health nurse at Broadmoor Hospital, has been removed from the nursing register following an investigation into his conduct. The investigation was triggered by the death of a patient in November 2022, which exposed serious record falsification by Parrymore.
During a shift on November 7, 2022, Parrymore falsely recorded that he had checked on seven patients every 15 minutes. However, CCTV evidence showed he performed only three checks over a 25-minute span between 21:30 and 23:00 GMT.
Parrymore admitted to fabricating the records, explaining to trust staff in March 2023 that he had "panicked." The West London NHS Trust highlighted that patient observations are critical for safety, and failures result in referrals to regulators.
