Driving more than twice the legal speed limit on a rainy October night in 2023, Strong's vehicle T-boned another car, resulting in the deaths of three occupants and severe injuries to a fourth. The passenger in Strong's vehicle also sustained serious injuries.
The court accepted a joint sentencing recommendation, acknowledging Strong's remorse and efforts towards rehabilitation despite his troubling background. Justice Joshua Arnold noted Strong's challenging upbringing, characterized by parental neglect and abuse, and his subsequent efforts to build a stable life. This context was considered alongside the catastrophic nature of the offenses.
