Nottinghamshire Police apprehended two teenagers in the city centre on Monday evening following reports of disorder in Old Market Square. The incident, which occurred around 17:45 GMT, saw officers quickly disperse a group of youths.
During the event, damage was reported to a tram door, causing a temporary interruption to the service. No weapons were observed by the police during their engagement with the group.
The arrests included a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, and a 16-year-old boy for obstructing a police officer. Both youths are currently in custody as investigations proceed.
