A murder investigation is actively ongoing following a fatal double stabbing at Briar Hill Skate Park in Northampton. Mason Miller, aged 20, tragically died as a result of the incident. A 17-year-old victim sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
Initially, four individuals were arrested in connection with the violence and have since been released as police continue their inquiries. These individuals included two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 35-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
More recently, on Saturday, three youths appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court. Two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old youth, all previously arrested on suspicion of murder, were charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. They were subsequently granted conditional bail as part of the wider investigation.
Detectives are diligently working around the clock, conducting house-to-house inquiries and increasing visible patrols in the area. Detective Inspector Matt Bly emphasized that the case remains a murder investigation and urged anyone with information, including CCTV, doorbell, or mobile phone footage, to come forward.
