Noida Police Nab Bhati Gang Suspects in Shootout

Two suspected members of the Sundar Bhati gang, identified as Dharmendra and Arjun, were apprehended on Sunday night following a police encounter in Noida. The joint operation, involving Ecotech-I police and the GB Nagar crime branch, was initiated after police received intelligence about the gang members planning a crime near the Yamuna bund in Gharbara village.
Upon spotting the law enforcement teams, the suspects allegedly opened fire in an attempt to evade capture. Police returned fire, leading to the successful overpowering and arrest of both individuals without any reported injuries. Recovered from the suspects were two illegal pistols and a quantity of ammunition.
Both Dharmendra and Arjun are known to have prior criminal histories. They had previously faced charges, including attempt to murder under Section 109(1) of the BNS and offenses under the Arms Act, underscoring their history of serious criminal activity.
