In Noida, a man was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing another individual after an argument at a family event in Tusyana village. The victim, identified as Manoj alias Lalu from Hardoi district, was discovered deceased on Thursday. Police investigations revealed that a heated exchange occurred between Manoj and the accused, Jagveer Bhati, during the event.
Following the argument, during which Manoj allegedly hurled abuses at Jagveer, the accused reportedly left the venue. He is then said to have returned with a sickle, seeking out Manoj. A confrontation ensued on a road leading into the village, culminating in Jagveer attacking Manoj with the sickle, inflicting fatal injuries.
The accused, Jagveer Bhati, has been apprehended by the police. Authorities seized the sickle used in the attack, along with the clothing worn by the accused at the time. The victim's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered under Section 105 of the BNS at Ecotech-3 police station, and it was noted that the accused has a documented criminal history.
