In Noida's Mamura area, a devastating incident unfolded on Saturday when a father allegedly killed his five-year-old son. The child, Akash, was declared dead at a hospital after his father, Vikash Kumar, reportedly punched him during a heated argument with his estranged wife.
Authorities were alerted by the child's mother, Puja, who contacted emergency services. An FIR has been filed against Vikash Kumar, aged 30, under Section 105 of the Indian Penal Code for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Police stated that the couple, who have seven children, were living separately.
The tragic event occurred when Vikash visited his wife's room in Sector 66. An altercation ensued, during which Vikash allegedly struck Akash forcefully on the back. The child collapsed and became unconscious. Despite being rushed to the hospital by his mother, he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is pending to provide further details on the cause of death.
