An engagement ceremony in Bisrakh turned violent when celebratory gunfire struck an 18-year-old waiter. The victim, Pushpendra, a resident of Lal Kuan, Ghaziabad, was hit by a bullet and is currently in stable condition after receiving medical attention.
The accused, Durvesh Kumar Baisoya from Ghaziabad and residing in Delhi, was arrested on a service road near Hanuman Square. Authorities recovered an illegal pistol and live cartridges from his possession. The incident allegedly involved multiple guests discharging firearms during the festivities.
Pushpendra's brother filed a case at Bisrakh police station, invoking sections related to attempt to commit culpable homicide and attempt to murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The FIR noted that the victim's father and siblings were also employed at the event. Investigations are continuing as police gather more information.
