26 Feb
Summary
- Two murders stemmed from a two-year contract dispute between neighbors.
- The main accused in a 2024 murder was killed after being granted bail.

A bitter, two-year feud between neighboring families over a lucrative contract has resulted in two tragic murders. The dispute, which centered on supplying electricity to roadside stalls, ultimately benefited neither party involved.
In the latest incident, Nitin Nagar, aged 30, was fatally shot and stabbed in Luksar village. Nagar had been released on bail in August of the previous year, having been the primary accused in the 2024 murder of Vinay. He was awaiting a court hearing on Tuesday when he was attacked shortly after leaving his home.
Following Nagar's death, police apprehended five men alleged to be associates of the rival family. Two of the arrested individuals, Rajesh Ramola and Nitin, were taken into custody on Wednesday. Another accused, Monu, was arrested Tuesday night after a police encounter. The accused now face charges including murder, attempt to murder, rioting, and criminal conspiracy under the new penal code.
