Family denies freezing Noah Donohoe's Instagram
19 Mar
Summary
- Noah Donohoe's mother was locked out of his Instagram account.
- A request to freeze the account used a shared family email.
- Witnesses denied seeking to memorialize Noah's social media.

An inquest into the death of Noah Donohoe heard that his mother was prevented from accessing his Instagram account.
This occurred after a request was submitted to Meta, the owner of Instagram, to memorialize Noah's account.
The request, made on June 28, 2020, used a shared family email address, as revealed in court. Noah's mother, Fiona Donohoe, was effectively locked out of her son's social media on the day she learned of his death.
Three anonymous witnesses testified, with one (M1) whose name was on the request form stating he did not know Noah at the time and lacked the knowledge to memorialize an account. M1 confirmed the shared email was linked to his gaming accounts and expressed regret that he couldn't provide further information.
Another witness (M2) denied seeking to memorialize Noah's account, mentioning her own Instagram was hacked in the past, a common issue in 2020. She had previously requested to follow Noah's account to stay updated on efforts to find him.
The third witness (M3) stated her children, M1 and M2, did not attempt to memorialize Noah's accounts and had no explanation for the family email appearing on the request form. She was unaware of any dealings with Noah's Instagram until contacted by the inquest. The family statements were dated mid-February 2026, and they had no prior knowledge of their email's involvement.
