A New Jersey woman is facing federal charges for allegedly orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot. Jaclyn D. Diiorio, 28, of Runnemede, N.J., was indicted on two counts related to arranging murders-for-hire.
The alleged scheme began in March 2025 when Diiorio connected with a confidential informant through the dating app Tinder. Authorities reported that she met the informant in person and discussed her desire to have her former boyfriend, a 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter killed.
Diiorio is accused of offering approximately $12,000 for the two killings. She allegedly met the informant again on April 4, 2025, and handed over $500 in cash as an initial payment toward the planned assassinations. She was arrested shortly thereafter.
Her arrest came less than a month after her relationship with her former boyfriend ended. The pair had met when Diiorio worked as his barber. She had previously filed a temporary restraining order against him in the summer of 2024, which she later withdrew.
Diiorio made her initial federal court appearance on September 9, 2026, and is currently being held in federal custody. The federal indictment also seeks forfeiture of property used in the alleged offenses, including the $500 cash. If convicted, she faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
