Summary
- NIA court charged eight individuals in the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
- Gogamedi, chief of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was shot dead in Jaipur.
- Gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar are key suspects in the conspiracy.

An NIA court has framed charges against eight individuals in connection with the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the leader of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. The court officially ordered the framing of charges on December 2. The assassination occurred on December 5, 2023, when two assailants entered Gogamedi's Jaipur residence and fatally shot him.
The investigation, subsequently taken over by the NIA, has implicated wanted gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar as primary suspects. The chargesheet filed in June last year also named Mahendra Kumar and Virendra Charan, who are currently absconding. Investigators believe Godara orchestrated the murder plot with Charan, Brar, and others.
Authorities suggest the motive behind Gogamedi's murder was to enhance the gang's criminal standing and facilitate extortion activities. Both Godara and Brar have publicly claimed responsibility for the killing, highlighting the pervasive reach of organized crime.
