A newly married software engineer from Delhi, identified as P Radha Gayatri, was found dead at a homestay in the tranquil hills of Dhanaulti, Uttarakhand. The 27-year-old, who worked for a tech firm in Gurgaon, had checked into the homestay with her husband, Soumya Shricharan, on Saturday night.
Her death came to light on Monday morning when authorities were alerted to an unconscious guest. Upon arrival, police discovered Gayatri deceased, lying naked on the floor with bloodstains on the bedsheet. Two empty liquor bottles were found in the room.
According to initial reports, Gayatri's husband stated they had consumed alcohol around 3:30 AM. He claimed to have found her unconscious and bleeding from the nose upon waking. The couple had traveled from Delhi to Rishikesh on June 13 before reaching the homestay late Saturday night. An investigation into the events leading to her demise is currently underway.
