Summary
- Five people charged in alleged kidnapping plot against viral TikTok star
- Victim received $100,000 donation from influencer in emotional video
- Suspects discussed victim's newfound wealth and planned to rob him

In a shocking turn of events, authorities in Michigan have charged five individuals, including the victim's own nephew, with conspiring to kidnap a man who recently gained viral fame on social media. The alleged victim, Curtis Dixon, had gone viral in August 2025 after receiving a $100,000 donation from TikTok influencer Zachery Dereniowski.
According to the criminal complaint, the suspects - Roland Terrell Chatmon, Leica Lopez Martinez, Ieasha Anna Stroman, Dnequia Jenise Stroman, and Kenneth Paul Anderson - plotted to abduct Dixon in a bid to rob him of his newfound wealth. On September 1, 2025, the group allegedly entered Dixon's Detroit home, tied up his wife, and stole a safe while brandishing a gun.
The suspects then reportedly took Dixon to a separate location, where they tied him up next to his burning vehicle and demanded he withdraw cash from his accounts. Authorities were able to track down the suspects using cell phone records and ATM surveillance footage, uncovering phone calls where they discussed Dixon's viral video and the GoFundMe campaign.
Chatmon, identified as Dixon's and his wife's nephew, is among the five individuals charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping. The suspects are set to appear in court this week, though their plea information is not yet available.
