Nearly three weeks before 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Arizona home on February 1, a neighbor observed a suspicious individual. Aldine Meister reported seeing a 'strange man' in the neighborhood around January 11, noting he was dressed in street clothes with his hat pulled low.
Meister described the man as hunched over and walking slowly, taking a prolonged look at Nancy Guthrie's house. She conveyed that this sighting was highly unusual for their quiet neighborhood, stating she informed her husband and mother at the time. She also reported the encounter to the FBI the day after agents visited her home.
Law enforcement has requested Ring camera footage from neighbors around the time of the disappearance. Another neighbor also reported seeing a suspicious unmarked van near Guthrie's residence days prior. The family is offering up to $1 million for information leading to Nancy Guthrie's recovery.
