Pima Sheriff: No One Cleared in Guthrie Disappearance
16 Feb
Summary
- Investigators are leaning away from family as suspects.
- A masked man in a backpack is a key focus.
- Nancy Guthrie's home declared a crime scene.

As the search for Nancy Guthrie enters its third week, law enforcement is reportedly shifting focus away from her relatives as potential suspects. While investigators have not officially ruled out anyone, sources indicate a decreased suspicion towards family members.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department continues to follow all leads, with a masked man captured on surveillance footage near Guthrie's home being a primary focus. The FBI released images of this individual, described as 5'9"-5'10" with an average build, wearing a specific backpack.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on the evening of January 31st and declared missing the following day. Her home was later designated a crime scene by Sheriff Chris Nanos after traces of blood were discovered on the porch, indicating foul play.
Despite earlier reports, Sheriff Nanos has stated that no individuals, including family members or home workers, have been officially cleared in the ongoing investigation. A person of interest detained last week has since been released. A reward of $100,000 is offered for information leading to Guthrie's location.
