A shocking murder occurred late Friday night in Nalasopara West, where 31-year-old Shubham Mishra was brutally killed. The Nalasopara police have registered a murder case, identifying five individuals and several unknown assailants in the FIR. One suspect has been apprehended, while authorities have formed teams to locate the others.
The victim was reportedly known to the accused, and the motive is believed to be an old rivalry. The attack took place on a public road, causing fear among residents. Investigations reveal the incident escalated from an argument at a bar in Gala Nagar, Nalasopara East, involving Mishra, Roshan Singh, and others over a previous dispute and a filed case.
Roshan Singh allegedly threatened Mishra during the confrontation. Later, the group planned to meet an acquaintance in Nalasopara West. Upon arrival, the accused stopped their auto and attacked Mishra when he alighted. More associates reportedly arrived on motorcycles, leading to Mishra being stabbed and bludgeoned with a stone.
Authorities responded promptly, sending the body for a post-mortem examination. The FIR includes charges under the Murder, Maharashtra Police Act, and Arms Act. Additional police presence has been deployed to maintain order as the investigation continues.
