Love Triangle Erupts in Cutter Attack

A violent incident unfolded in Nagpur on Saturday, March 7, 2026, when a 21-year-old college student was brutally attacked. Monish Raja Sheikh, a student from Chandrapur residing in Taj Nagar, was lured to the Meshram Putla area in Sadar by Ayan Khan, 23, who suspected a romantic involvement between Monish and his girlfriend. Khan, along with two associates, allegedly confronted Monish and inflicted serious injuries using a cutter-like weapon. Monish suffered deep cuts to his face and neck.
Following the assault, Monish was taken to a private hospital where he is receiving treatment. While his condition is serious, he is reported to be out of danger. Sadar police were alerted to the incident on Sunday, March 8, 2026. An attempt-to-murder case has been registered against Ayan Khan and his accomplices under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A manhunt is currently underway, with intensified patrolling and efforts to collect CCTV footage and witness statements in Mominpura and surrounding areas.
