Nagpur city police have taken a significant step to enhance public safety and confidence by externing seven habitual offenders. This decisive action, occurring ahead of the NMC elections, targets individuals with a history of serious criminal involvement. The externment orders, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police Niketan B Kadam, specifically affect residents from Pardi and Wathoda police station jurisdictions.
The externed individuals, including two women bootleggers, were reportedly involved in a range of illicit activities. These include assaults, indecent abuse conspiracies, causing intentional injuries, criminal intimidation, death threats, and operating illegal liquor dens. Despite previous preventive actions, these offenders showed no inclination towards reform, prompting the police to implement stricter measures.
