In Nagpur, a 32-year-old man has filed a complaint alleging abduction, assault, and robbery. He claims he was forcibly taken into an auto-rickshaw near Liberty Chowk and beaten with a baton, losing Rs3,000 in cash. The alleged perpetrators are linked to a woman with whom the complainant had a financial disagreement.
The complainant stated that the dispute began when the woman, who had borrowed money from him, allegedly filed a molestation case against him when pressed for repayment. After securing bail, he moved to Raipur for work.
He further alleged that the woman and two others threatened him over the phone. On August 18, while returning home, he was pulled into an autorickshaw by several individuals. The accused, identified as Durga Prasad Pande and Pradeep Durga Prasad Pande, along with the woman, allegedly instructed assailants via speakerphone to assault him.
Sadar police initially registered a non-cognisable offense. However, a magistrate directed the registration of a cognisable case on August 11, leading to the current FIR.
