A 28-year-old gig worker, identified as Khomdeo Patle alias Kartik, was apprehended by Rana Pratap Nagar police in Nagpur following a chase. Patle had been engaged in stalking and flashing incidents for approximately two years, primarily operating in West Nagpur. His modus operandi involved riding a scooter at night, often covering his face, and targeting women in areas like Ambazari Garden and IT Park.
Patle, who also worked as a school van driver in the mornings, had several cases registered against him across multiple police stations. Despite previous escape attempts and even a decoy operation, he remained elusive. Police formed a special team two months prior to his arrest to intensify efforts.
Investigators finally identified his scooter based on victim descriptions. A recent sighting of the masked suspect led to a short pursuit, culminating in his capture. Patle has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for outraging the modesty of women and other offenses. He is currently in police custody.
