Mother, Children Found Dead: Affair Suspected

Tragic circumstances surround the discovery of a woman and her three children, found deceased in Muzaffarpur district on January 15. The bodies of Mamta Devi, aged 28, and her children Kriti, Aditya, and Ankush, were found near Chandwara Bridge. They had been missing from their rented accommodation since January 10.

Police have arrested Amod, identified as the woman's lover from Madhubani, in connection with the disappearance and alleged kidnapping. Evidence, including phone records and photographs, confirms their relationship, which reportedly lasted for a year. A kidnapping complaint was filed by Mamta's husband, Krishna Mohan, after receiving a suspicious call.

Authorities are investigating multiple angles, including the possibility of suicide due to the affair or a planned murder. The husband is also being questioned due to allegations of domestic abuse. The final cause of death awaits the viscera report, with a special investigation team examining all scientific evidence.
